Led by Founder & Principal Rayon Gibbs, a former Vice President and Commercial Lender, the practice is grounded in bank-level underwriting, commercial credit analysis, and structured debt advisory. Every transaction is reviewed, framed, and managed by the principal, with capital placed through vetted lending relationships selected for the specific business plan.
The objective is straightforward: deliver institutional-grade structuring, clear communication, and disciplined execution to sponsors and investors—regardless of deal size.

He supports Marathon’s originations platform by strengthening processes, partner engagement, pipeline execution, and client experience.

Dr. Tim Webb
Dr. Tim Webb is Managing Director, Capital Markets at Marathon Capital & Mortgage Advisory LLC, where he leads capital markets strategy, lender relationships, and structured financing execution. He currently serves as Chief Investment Officer at Freedmen’s Green Bank and Trust, overseeing investment policy, portfolio construction, and impact-focused capital deployment into community-oriented and sustainable projects. Dr. Webb brings more than two decades of experience across investment management and advisory, structuring senior and mezzanine debt, innovative credit solutions, and bespoke capital stacks for sponsors, operators, and institutional investors.
